Lance's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
