Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bather they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Tailor, and he later adopted a second daughter.

His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
