History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Hugh alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

History: Raymond was born the youngest of three triplets. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His first spouse was a Brewer, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
