History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Bertram was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: Lewis was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Ranger, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Ranger in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Lewis abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
