Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Description: He wears a black coat over a grey low-cut shirt, and a top hat upon his head. He carries with him a set of shortspears, each one with a topaz on the hilt. He only wears one on his belt and the other on his back. He wears a colorful flower in his silver hair. His gray eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: Robert was born with his father's beautiful face. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.

Description: This exceptionally lanky man wears yellow robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a rapier, but if one is not available he will default to his pickaxe. He has wavy chestnut hair. He wears a mask on his face.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: John hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born in a small island village. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it
