Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Navigator who has hired him part-time. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Gerard was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Navigator hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Slave Trader work with an outfit from a few towns over. Slave Trader work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
