Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He works hard and plays hard.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born in the south. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and money/treasure

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Fortune-teller. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Gomory was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
