Description: A man with a cold, calculating air about him, he wears white robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a lance, but if one is not available he will default to his shield. His chestnut hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. His violet eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Nicholas alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
