Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Lance took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up longbow and armor he uses now. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Laborer. He has achieved small success as a Laborer.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he is greedy

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
