When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Fortune-teller hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Hubert and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Kyle was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 5 years.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and wants to open a new tavern
