His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Gerard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He struck the Miller job and began his own company from there.

Cartwright work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
