History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Frederick embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. The war was a terrible time for him, and Anselm does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Anselm grew up listening to his father's many stories. A freak accident while working with his Dilettante father left him crippled. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
