History: Gifted from a young age, Bertram studied abroad. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

Personality: Ernest wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Warrior, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ernest fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
