When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: An older man who wears silk and lounges about seductively, he is not a threatening figure. He keeps his black hair in a flapper bob. His eyes are a pleasant gray.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Dilettante. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Dilettante for the past few years.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

His hair is long and silver with streaks of blonde, and is pulled back with small grey clips. His beard is blonde, braided, and well cared for. He wears a mask on his face.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Mortician who has hired him part-time. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: He was born in the north. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: He would like to get married and retire; and wants a kiss
