His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
