Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Crown-heir work with an outfit from a few towns over. Crown-heir work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Gilbert was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
