History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Nicholas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Personality: Hubert speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Personality: Raymond is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Raymond lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and to unite with his sister
