The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: Lance hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his painting career. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Lance was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He found a children's book about a Human Warrior who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: Anselm hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He has worked as a Cartwright like his mother before him.

Personality: Cory wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Monk, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying brother.
