A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He tends to his Courier job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Junk Dealer. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He wants revenge against giants; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Bertram's homeland. Bertram decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it
