History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Bertram was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Scribe work with an outfit from a few towns over. Scribe work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Scribe for hire.
