Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with poetry. He constantly tries to fill his life with poetry. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Geoffrey was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Geoffrey never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Lance is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge, and is pretty ugly. He wears a wide-brimmed hat to cover his moderate length golden hair. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He found a children's book about a Human Warlock who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Painter for hire.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and to reunite with his old friends
