History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. The war was a terrible time for him, and Clerebold does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Courier. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes giants are coming to abduct people. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.

Personality: He hates brigands. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He would like to get married and retire; and someone believes him a fraud
