He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Cook work with an outfit from a few towns over. Cook work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He now owns his own business.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Miles embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When Miles reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He became a Baker soon after.
