After coming to the age of reason, Norman took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Lance lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability.
