History: Thomas was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Expert, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Expert in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Arnold was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Arnold's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Arnold and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was raised in a island tribe. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bernard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
