Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.
History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Everard never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Barrister responsibilities is difficult; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.
History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bellfounder they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Animal Trainer, and he later adopted a second daughter.
Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.
History: Gilbert lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His first spouse was a Apothecary, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. After a long history of fighting, Gilbert and his spouse have recently divorced.
Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and to reunite with his absent father

Description: This malnourished man wears baggy white pantaloons and a grey scarf. With bright black hair and a scraggly beard. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.
Personality: Simon is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.
History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Simon was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Performer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up work as a Performer and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.
Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.
