Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Bertram was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
