History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

His mother taught him the rudiments of the Mayor arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform After a long history of fighting, Ralf and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and he has money and likes to spend it

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
