History: Born in the east to a Knight, Manfred learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying east to reunite his family. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: He was born in the south. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he is greedy

Description: A man with a cold, calculating air about him, he wears tight fitting pants and leather jackets. He usually doesn't wear a shirt. His hair is brown and very short. He has gleaming, smiling blue eyes.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He became a Detective soon after.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety; and sabotage a competitor

Description: The light-skinned man stands 6'6" and is well dressed, constantly wearing a black suit, tan shirt, and green tie. His red hair is knotted and matted. His blue eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Clerebold embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bookbinder. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To unite with his sister.
