History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His childhood dream was to be a Bellfounder, but he was a colossal failure. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Ruler for hire.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bernard embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Bernard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Theodoric grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.

Description: This man is tall and muscular. He wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. He has styled his white hair well, parting it to the right. His eyes are blue.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: Born to a Seamstress, his father struggled to pay the bills. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and retire the richest man in the north
