He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He tends to his Barkeep job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and doesn't want to be a barkeep and was forced into it by his family
