Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He disdains his fellow southerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Nicholas took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up pickaxe and armor he uses now. After a long history of fighting, Nicholas and his spouse have recently divorced.

Description: He wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally he sports a violet coat, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'1" when asserting himself. His long white hair reaches down to his waist. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Adam fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and wishes to resurrect an old love

Description: He is dressed in a clean brown cloak covering his clean studded leather. He is portly but not overly obese. His hair is silver, silky, and of moderate length. He has gray eyes.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Nicholas was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and many gnolls want him driven away

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. William is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

Description: This eastern man wears a green costume with the symbols of the four houses of cards on his torso. His clothes are grease stained in places. His hair is auburn and curly. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Guard hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and he seems to be bored by most things
