William's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
