History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the south. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Miles alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
