Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. During his travels, John and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, John discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. John fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He worked as a nervous Bowyer and found it very stressful. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: Born to a Navigator, his father struggled to pay the bills. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love.

To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Hugh alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.
