History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Alex was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
