Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Gerard never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Spice Merchant arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
