When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He struck the Cartwright job and began his own company from there.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and retire the richest man in the west

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Conrad hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Conrad was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away.
