History: He comes from a rich northern family. In his 18th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now owns his own business.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Servant and was forced into it by his family; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Hubert embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Gardener profession.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
