History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. A true patriot, Roland would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Born to a Carter, his mother struggled to pay the bills. A gifted student he started as a Carter, but he got bored and became a Herbalist. He was granted divine powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: To be a Carter again; and balancing his hectic life and new herbalist responsibilities is difficult

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, William was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after William was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. William's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, William and his spouse have recently divorced.
