Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Chad was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: He was born in the south. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Adelard was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. Ostracized due to the druidic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He was granted druidic powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: Many gnolls want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
