History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Alex alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Alex was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the brigands.

Personality: He is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, he's a very lovable idiot. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Description: This man is tall and muscular. He wears many layers of old clothing at all times. He has a brown handlebar mustache and slicked back brown hair. His ears are large.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Kyle was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Ploughman hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Kyle and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often.

Description: He tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with his rolled up shirt sleeves this gives him a very relaxed look. He has shaved his head bald. He has a dull look in his blue eyes.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. The war was a terrible time for him, and Ernest does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born in the west. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Ernest was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Description: A stocky darker skinned man, he is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright white and grey, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. He has no hair. His eyes are blue and beady.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He is a great chef.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Bookbinder arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
