History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When Chad reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. After a long history of fighting, Chad and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature trident.

Description: He is a man of bearing and well nourished. He prefers to wear the grand gowns of high society. He carries his fan with him everywhere and carries himself as the perfect gentleman. He has styled his red hair well, parting it to the right. His fierce violet eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Roger embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. Roger is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Roger was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: Miles lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Thomas was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: He is content; and a deep hatred of dire rats
