Personality: Anselm wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Adept, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Guard responsibilities is difficult; and to be a doctor again

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: He was born in the south. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Cory's homeland. Cory decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Blacksmith for hire.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Born in the north to a Locksmith, Gilbert learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and he feels threatened by others

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: He was born in the east. A gifted student he started as a Fortune-teller, but he got bored and became a Guard. He has achieved small success as a Guard.

Motivation: To be a Fortune-teller again.
