History: William lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Gerard liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
