History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and revenge

Personality: He is a sleazy, sleazy guy. He has no qualms about using his powers of suggestion to get people to do what he wants. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Mayor but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Roland lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Description: He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright pastel and brown, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His attire stands in sharp contrast to his shield, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a card on it. His tied-back hair is black. His green eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he desires power and/or immortality

Description: This man stands a little under 5'9" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He sports tan clothing, slightly heavier than average wear. His black hair is smooth and relatively long. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Dyer profession.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Cartwright. Recently the stress of being a Cartwright has made it difficult for him to sleep.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and he is content
