History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. After coming to the age of reason, Gerald took it upon himself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bookbinder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. A true patriot, Arnold would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was born in a small plains village. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Arnold fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
