History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. He is wearing a tight brown one piece outfit complete with pants, hood, and a cape. His golden hair is knotted and matted. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: Cory hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Cory and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Many gnolls want him driven away.

Personality: He hates orcs. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Arnold alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of orcs; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this western guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Wymar has worked very hard to control his curse. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he is wracked by social anxiety

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
