History: He comes from a rich western family. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. After a long history of fighting, Hugh and his spouse have recently divorced.
