History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Painter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Nicholas lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Through the years after Nicholas was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Nicholas's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Bookbinder profession.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His first spouse was a Bookbinder, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Dilettante responsibilities is difficult; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Chad grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and wants to raise his children well
